Group Exhibitions in Southampton Score Rave Reviews and Future Collaborations

Tethys Art (71 Hill Street in Southampton, NY) has become one of the premiere art galleries in the Hamptons in just a few months’ time. The east end’s latest art house is creating a buzz throughout the coast for their ambitious curatorial vision. Showcasing an impressive display of notable quality and dazzling experimentation, their exhibitions reflect Tethys’ core values with artworks that challenge the status quo, create new dialogues, and synergies.

“We aim to have a strong impact on the art world of tomorrow,” states Tethys Art Co-Founder, Elena Ulansky.

Tethys Art since its inaugural exhibition “From Keith Haring to the Screen Generation” has set a new standard for the art world that stretches from the Hamptons to international online presence. Their debut exhibition in June featured artwork by Keith Haring, Richard Prince, Pieter Schoolwerth, Fawn Rogers, Pearlyn Lii, and Elise Swopes.

Following on July 23rd, Tethys Art launched their second exhibition titled “The Stars of Tomorrow.” The group exhibition featured emerging and established artists including notable rising stars such as Jonas Wood, Joel Mesler, Josh Smith, Sydney Vernon, Gabriela Cohen, Monsieur Zohore, Heather Day, and Jessica Lichtenstein.

The second installation proudly displayed the selected artists at different stages in their careers, from fresh MFA graduates to artists with institutional presence. The powerful evolution of an artist’s practice was captured at the gallery as the focus of works that ranged from their first breaks into the art world to their extended success.

Tethys Art’s fresh approach to exhibitions creates diversity in the field as it intentionally exposes the latest rising stars early on in their careers.

Their groundbreaking approach is a refreshing tactic that responds to the modern-day desires of collectors who are looking for intelligent investments and deeper appreciation for creative work. The art world in the past decades has seen a deluge of artists, galleries, and art fairs, making it extremely difficult to determine where quality art is found. Only an insider of the art world has the eye to sort through and curate, from the ever-changing art market, a collection of brilliant emerging and versed artists.

Part of Tethys’ mission is to bring the knowledge of experts of the art market to the public. The platform works with collectors to show audiences how emerging artists can stand their ground next to established ones, bringing new, innovative perspectives to the table.
